Radiator “air resistance”

The generator radiator is fixed on the engine set.The belt-driven fan blows the air into the radiator core to cool the coolant flowing through the radiator. In the whole generator, radiator is very important to ensure the normal operation of the generator. If it is used improperly, it will cause damage to the generator or scrapped. Here’s how to prevent the “air resistance”.

Radiator cover is a combination of the air hole and the steam valve. When the pressure of the water in the radiator rises after being heated, the steam valve opens to discharge the water vapor from the valve hole. When the water temperature decreases, the outside air will enter the radiator from the valve hole to keep the pressure in the radiator stable. If the valve hole is blocked or the piston cover is lost, most customers may seal it with an ordinary cover plug. When the water temperature decreases, negative pressure will be formed in the radiator, resulting in air resistance, and insufficient circulating water will cause the radiator casing to suck under the action of atmospheric pressure. When the water temperature rises, it will affect the heat dissipation performance of the radiator and the engine. If taking the above actions, the radiator sleeve will be expanded when the problem is serious.

To prevent “air resistance”, please always keep the valve hole unblocked and the spring effective. If the cover is lost, it cannot be sealed with other materials, nor let the radiator open. A new parts should be purchased and installed in time.
