Diesel generator set operation process suddenly stalled, will greatly affect the output efficiency of the unit, serious delays in the process of production, bringing huge economic losses, then the diesel generator set suddenly stalled what is the reason?
1. Occurred when the automatic shutdown, the speed gradually reduced diesel generator running sound and exhaust smoke color is no abnormal phenomenon.
The main reason is that the diesel fuel inside the tank is used up, it may be the fuel tank switch is open; or the fuel tank ventilation holes, fuel filter and fuel pump is blocked; or the fuel line is not sealed into the air, resulting in “air resistance” (stalling with the phenomenon of unstable speed) at this time to check the low-pressure fuel line, first of all, check the fuel tank, fuel tank filter, fuel switch, fuel pump is not blocked, lack of fuel or switch is not open, etc. Then loosen the air screw on the fuel injection pump, press the fuel pump button to observe the flow of oil at the bleeder screw. First of all, check the fuel tank, filter, fuel switch, fuel pump has no blockage, lack of oil or switch is not open, and then loosen the injection pump on the gas screw, press the fuel pump button, observe the bleeder screw at the flow of oil, if no oil flow out, that is, the oil line is blocked, if the flow out of the oil inside the air bubbles, that is, inside the oil line into the air, to check the exclusion of the section by section.
2. The automatic shutdown runs continuously and erratically and has an abnormal knocking sound. The main reason is that the piston pin is broken, the crankshaft is broken, the connecting rod bolts are broken or loose, the valve catch spring, the valve locking plate is dislodged, the valve rod or valve spring is broken, resulting in valve disengagement and so on. Diesel generator operation once the unit is found to appear in this condition, to immediately stop the machine to check, so as not to cause major mechanical accidents, can be sent to a professional repair point to do a comprehensive inspection.
3. When the diesel generator automatically turns off the engine, the speed will slowly decrease, the operation is unstable, the exhaust pipe white smoke
The main reasons are water inside the diesel fuel, cylinder gasket damage, or automatic decompression is damaged. Need to replace the cylinder gasket, adjust the decompression mechanism.
4. No abnormality before the automatic shutdown, then it suddenly shut down.
The main reasons are that the plunger or injector needle valve is jammed, the plunger spring or pressure spring is broken, the injector pump manipulation lever and its connected pin fall off, the key on the shaft is sheared flat due to looseness after the fixing bolts of the injector pump drive shaft and the active disk are loosened, resulting in the drive shaft or the active disk sliding, so that the drive shaft can’t drive the injector pump to work.
